Hi Guys,

i am struggling understanding which value of Tw (max wall temeprature) i should use for a stainless steel vessel (i'm considering two opportunities: SS304 and SS316) according API521 firecase safety valve sizing. Can you hekp me with this doubt?

A fire is a very rare event. I would not let the fire sizing case determine a choice between 304 and 316 SS metallurgy. If 304 SS meets your process needs, use it.
