I am currently designing a Fixed-roof type of tank. I am curious on what are the parameters we usually assume in designing a tank? Also, how do we calculate or how do we size the inlet and discharge line of a tank?

Hi,

 

Please go ahead based on the relevant project's line sizing criteria. It will probably say about maximum allowable liquid/gas velocity and the pressure drop value should be considered in mentioned lines sizing calculation.
