Hello, please I need guidance regarding the sizing procedure for an LNG bog compressor drum, I'm doing reverse engineering for LNG plants and I have been stuck on the BOG compressor drum since there is LNG quench coming from the tank, I want to know how the flowrate of the quench LNG is estimated and how the drum is sized ? Also, by evaluating different heat and material balances I noticed that the BOG and LNG quench don’t have the same pressure, so how they are mixed in the drum if they don’t have the same pressure ? Also can the mixing and the drum be modeled using Aspen hysys? Thank you for your guidance

Hi, I just came across your response now, even though the original post was back in March. I wasn't active on the forum for a while, so I didn’t see the notification earlier.

Thank you, the difference in this separator is; the gas is quenched with LNG to avoid high temperature when the anti-surge valve is open; there's no cooler downstream the compressor

When deft clay replied to you, I saw you had been inactive for a while, so I messaged him to be sure he realized that he may not get a reply.  Thank you for replying to deft clay.
