Hi
How can the pressure profile downstream of a rupture disc discharging a three-phase fluid into a burn pit be calculated? Is there any software available for this purpose?

for two / three phases flow , depending from process, you can try to model the disc with the models adopted for valves (i.e. HEM, HNE etc.), there are several threads in this forum discussing those applications.

Hi,
talk to vendor of rupture disk, they may have tools to support you. Try with Fike, Protectoseal.
Attached example of technical document from Fike.
Please clarify 3 phases (organic and aqueous phases + gas) or (liquid + solid+ gas).
My 2 cents

Thank you for your response, but I'm primarily looking for a method to calculate the downstream pressure drop across the rupture disc in order to design the necessary

Hi,
Check API 520 part1,
other resources attached.
Good luck
