Is there any minimum capacity criteria for aboveground storage tanks that do not require foam system provision.

Hi,

Can you please elaborate your query to get a meaningful answer?

Most probably NFPA / Fire brigade and insurance brokers should give you the answer.

edit: Check MSDS of your product.

Haideri,

I agree with breizh.  I have read your query a few times and I struggled to confidently understand what you are asking for.  Please tell us the approximate size tank you think will be optimum for your project, and the chemical (or NFPA flammability classification) it will store.  That will give us some basis and more insight.  Then, reword your query so we know what is exactly your question.  (Also, run your reworded query by a good AI search engine.  It is amazing how much detail they can dig up in no time.)

If I had to guess, my answer would be, tanks with a capacity below certain thresholds are often exempt from foam fire fighting systems.  Just as breizh advised, consult your local, state, and federal regulations, and talk to your safety, health, and environmental department, local fire authorities and insurance provider.  That should cover all the bases!
