I want to cool hot air of 25000m3/hr at 270C to 250C by adding ambient air at 21C.

Can some one guide me how much dilution air (ambient air) needed to add in hot air?

Hi,

Perform heat and mass balance.

To start let you assume same specific heat capacity or use the link underneath.

Specific Heat Capacity of Air: Isobaric and Isochoric Heat Capacities at Various Temperatures and Pressures

Use the perfect law gas to calculate the density of air at (T,P) prior to perform balances or

the link underneath.

Air Properties: Temperature, Pressure & Density Data

Good luck
