Hello!

I am struggling with an question.

A coupled absorber-stripper system needs to be designed with a trayed column for CO2 absorption by amine and solvent regeneration. State the relevant equilibrium data needed, operating conditions for each column and the design targets for each column. Note that if you would like to use multiple pairs of absorbers and strippers, you need to justify the rationale for that.

I understand the operating conditions, i have mass balances completed from beforehand however i do not know how to construct a x vs y (mol frac CO2 liquid vs mol frac co2 vapor equilibrium graph). Do i just get data online? We are to use an amine activated MDEA, and that confuses me further with how to get the data.

Hopefully someone can assist!

Kind regards,

A simulator with thermo proper package should help

Good luck
