Hello everyone,

plz. tell me that why only sodium chloride and coal used in earthing pit, why they r not using other salt/chemicals.

Hi Mahesh

About Earthing pit:

The sodium Cloride is used for reduce the resistance of soil in the pit, if it exhibit higher earthing resistance.
The sodium cloride is used because the common salt is used for being cheapest than other inorganic and soluble salts.

The coal is used for fill the pit and provide porosity near to the Electrode Assembly.
