Hello friends,
why should barometric leg of an ejector should be more than 45 degrees w.r.t. horizontal plane. Any information regarding the same will be helpful in solving my querry.

I've never heard that although the barometric leg should be set up to gravity drain back to the hotwell. 45 degrees seems like a bit of overkill, but it would work fine.

Please refer to the article I attached in my post, "Proper Piping for Vacuum Systems", published in Chemical Engineering, november 1996.
The main reason for such piping system orientation is preventing pipe and elbows blockage with dirt, scale, corrosion products or high-pour point oil condensables (encountered in crude vacuum distillation units, for example).
