I'm trying to design a fuel gas mixing drum for an LNG liquifcation plant but my company doesn't seem to have any design guidelines for such a vessel. I have seen typical congurations (several compartments with vertical inlet distributor) but don't have any "theory" to back these designs up.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Gas turbine will have limitation in term of change in LHV per unit time. It is a guarantee figure (some vendor). Fuel gas LHV change in LNG plant is drastic where there is make up gas and End Flash Gas. Your fuel gas mixing drum shall be able to ensure fuel gas quality within this limitation. It involve dynamic studies and calculation is complicated... I hope you understand that this is not the straight forward buffer drum in most oil and gas plant.
