Dear all
I need to know if adding orifice plate in hysys simulation is possible or not
And if possible how to add it and what are the parameters needed to solve it??
Thanks

MERO_CHEMICAT,
I doubt you can do that...there are formulas in Crane Technical TP410 for orifice plate calculation...You can model external subroutine in HYSYS...

Put in a relief valve (RV) with opening and full-opening pressures that are much lower than the pressures in your model. Next, define the orifice size as user-defined, and punch in the RV orifice size.
This will give you a RV unit op that is always open, which is essentially just flow through an orifice.
Hope this helps,
- Steve.
