Hi all, i'm new here and I would like to seek the help of all the members regarding the problem posted in the title of this thread. I'm a third year undergrad and am currently doing a design project regarding coal gasification and I need to simulate the gasification plant on Aspen. I could not complete the flowsheet as i'm having difficulties setting up the SRU. In general, the SRU that i'm using will convert all the SO2 gases to saleable gypsum. The followings are the specifications I made on Aspen:

Block : RStoic
Pressure : 4000 kPa
Temperature : 40 deg C
Feed : 1. CaSO3, 2. Air, 3. Syngas
Reactions : 1. S + O2 --> SO2
2. CACO3 + SO2 + 2 WATER + .5 O2 --> gypsum + CO2

The problem is, I could not run it with any other block properties except for NRTL. And NRTL is not a suitable property for this case. I've tried increasing the temperature of the block as it might not be suitable for the oxidation of sulfur and also changing the block to RGibbs but to no avail.

Hopefully my description of my problem is clear enough to aid in the understanding of the problem. If any member thinks that it is too vague, feel free to point out any information that is required inorder to assist me in solving this problem. All opinion are accepted. Thank You.
