Dear,
Can anyone give me an idea regarding the dispersion modelling. Actually in my project some of the safety valve blow-offs/blowdowns can't be send to flare so we have no option than to vent it at safe location in the atmosphere. In this case how to deside the safe loaction/height. So we have to go for the dispersion modelling/analysis.I am not aware about any software for the dispersion analysis, as well how it is done what are the basic things to be considered while doing dispersion modelling?
There are so many questions in my mind regarding this.
I will grateful if some one could help me to understand it.
Regards,

For dispersion modelling can be used software like as 'Shell Fred" for your study. In oil and gas field is very famous.

You might give SuperChems by IoMosaic a thought. Not only will it do your PSV, rupture disk and blowdown modeling but the full blown version will also do dispersion modeling.

Dear Oilgasman and Pleckner ,
Lots of thanks for your replies I will go through it and still I have any doubt I will revert back.

Padmakar,
You may use PHAST. Pretty easy to use.
Few things to advise...
i) Hydrocarbon limit e.g. XX% LEL to be checked.
ii) Identify the environment and/or personal limit for those component in you vent gas e.g. CO2, CO, H2S, BTEX, etc. Toxic component sometime may be governing scenario.
iii) Consider maximum and minimum flowrate and maximum and minimum wind speed as certain combination may be governing case.
