i am working on distillery project, in which i require to design a bubble cap tray. i would like to know how i could check the flooding parameter for the same so as to get the column diameter. if anybody is having any excel or pdf document for the same, please mail the same to me.

I would suggest you use the Fair correlation.
You will find usefull graphs and diagrams in Perry's Handbook. In the 7th edition figures 7.25 and 7.26 should help you.

Also, although this spreadsheet is for sieve trays, this site www.cheresources.com has a seivetray design Excel spreadsheet for download. It's not bubble cap, but for a first shot at the diameter should be OK.
