University of Arkansa recently found new method to turn chicken fat into biodiesel. Anyone here familiar with supercritical methanol method?The Chicken Fat Technology

Friends, I thing it is really difficult to obtain such supercritical condition for biodiesel production in industry. High presure is the first of all great energetic expense, but alkali catalysts are extremely cheap. And if we are speaking about biofuels prime cost, probably this biodiesel will be noncompetitive. I hope in future this method will be effective but not now.

I think for this particular process, even though it was said that it requires no catalyst and that is cost saving, if someone invented the catalyst it wud b lot more economical.

plus we can treat the feedstock at almost zero cost..

It seems that you have done a certain amount of vertical research: the research and experimentation in the area of bio diesel as a fuel. I would suggest that you consider comparing and contrasting this as a solution to another or several sources of power or for transportation. You could consider local solutions or global ones. This is a kind of horizontal research. It would relate to your main interest of bio diesel as you could see other solutions and then relate these back to bio diesel. Choosing one of several alternatives is very much on the minds of decision makers today.
