Hello, I need help:
According to the point B.3.3 API 650, the slope of an atmospheric tank floor is 1:120 (one inch in ten feet). How is shell to bottom fillet welds? It respects the slope?
Another engineer objected to the slope of a flat rebuilt because the union shell to bottom the plate had not been adjusted to take outstanding 0º and the union would not be at 90 degrees.
This engineer says it is "typical detail in the weld shell to bottom" but ... What document supports one or another position?
I think that the floor has to respect the slope up the mantle, but I have no standards arguments support it (nor to support the 90 th) because I did not find a specific mention in the rule.
When in doubt, put the discussion on the table to see if I can help.
(sorry, I speak spanish, my english is very bad)

Thanks
