In purifying wet-process phosphoric acid, three solvents might be used for extraction; alcohol, ketone, or amine. I am wondering what different among them. I knew A&W (now Rhodia) used methyl isobutyl ketone in their plant in Aurora, NC. Anyone can direct me?
Your opinions would be appreciated.
