Hi my name is Houcain and i'm a last year student chemistry from Belgium and i'm looking for some relevant information on how the inhibtor p- tertiar-butyl-catechol works in preventing the styrene monomer from polymeresation.
Can some one also help me with understanding in how the p-TBC gets its color after adding the mixture NaOH/methanol/octanol/water to determine the concentration p-TBC with spectrofotometry.
Anny additional information (flow charts) regarding the production of polystyrene is also welcome.
Thank in advance
