Hi,
Currently working on consequence analysis for oil and gas facility. I need to find a jet fire duration, can anybody help me out, i need to know the method to calculate duration or any reference from where i can take this information.

Hi Nils,

let me know whether are you using any softwares to do dispersion calculations. It is normal practice distance traveled by SElected Jet fire Radaiation divided by release rate ( giving no credit to atmospheric conditions., like wind speed, direction of release , pasquil stability critearia , relative humdity, layout resistance ( due to congestion)) Or if you running FRED , you get jet fire time . Normally the duartion will be seconds.
