Hello all

i am working on a bitumen unit, the produced bitumen from air blowing unit(ABU) stored in a storage tank.
Question1: I saw in some similiar projects that in addition of heating coil, a air blowing ring was considered in the final storage tank. I want to know that is it necessary to consider it?
Question2: Because of high pour point of bitumen, the outgoing transfer piping from this yank should be heated. For this purpose oil tracing should be considered or Jacket should be used?

Thanks in advance

Hi Extractor
the answer 1 Question :
the usually a ring Air ( 2'' inch) to down tank for two topic : 1) if final produce of less Softening point with inject Air cause increas Soft .
2) decrease temperature Tank.

but, the answer question 2 :
if the climate site condition is cold. I recommendation that steam MPS ( 300#) jacket or tracing is better. usually for heated bitumen of jacket use's.
