Hi

I am OK (ish) with Hysysy for binary distilation exaples, but I am stuck for a pertol diesel split given the complexity of each of the items.

Any advice?

I am looking to take the petrol over the top and diesel as a bottoms product.

Approx 9 Tonnes per hour feed rate.

Hi,

petrol and diesel are not one component, they are a mixture of many. you need to be familiar with crude oils simulation to work with these.

first you need assays for both and a clear objective of your seperation criteria.

Have a look at the reinfery crude ditillation unit example in hysys and the manuals, it will give you more understading of the simulation.

another good referance is refiery process modeling by Gerald Kaes

cheers,

sm
