I have to validate oil-water separator. At first, i check for maximum particle drop diameter and residence times but this methods not guarrantid the outlets compositions. Now, i looking for something else. I need to know if there is some standarized or normaized laboratory method to check the separation at diferent residence times.

See the ASTM method for determining the residence time vs separation efficiency. Or you determine your own method for calculating this time at your desired temperatures and compositions. I do not remember the ASTM number
