Hello Everyone,
I have a simple question for everyone. We are considering purchasing some software. The punchline is that one of our first projects is going to be designing or modifying a NOx scrubber. We have some packed spray towers that we are currently using, and we are considering adding recirculation with a fresh sodium hydroxide feed. Any opinions on which software would be the best for modeling this process??
Just as an FYI: we have our NO and NO2 level, a HUGE packed spray tower with water, fans, and so forth. We can make what we have work, but I need some math and some simulation to back it up. Thanks for any and all opinions on which software would be best!!!

Unfortunately I do not have any answers for you. But I am very curious. What are you using as a sorbent for removing NOx? You know of course that some compounds of what we call "NOx" are readily absorbed using inexpensive, readily available sorbents, while other compounds are far more difficult to absorb. I am under the opinion that the former catagory is only a small portion of the total impurity (unfortunately) and that it is very difficult to remove the majority of the NOx. Can you specify the total and individual contaminant concentrations you are dealing with? THanks.
