Pomegranate is the healthiest of them all because it contains the most of every type of antioxidant. It wins in all categories. And it's thought that it might do some very good things; it may protect against some cancers, such as prostate cancer. It might also modify heart disease risk factors, and it could be healthy for your heart.

Eat the fruit itself if you can, rather than drinking the juice. The fruit has far fewer calories. Remember: It takes ten oranges to make a glass of orange juice, but one orange will be relatively low in calories. Also, the fruit will give you the fiber you need, but the juice won't. So the fruit is always a better choice than the juice.

Which fruit is best depends on each individual person, and "nothing in excess" is also valid. So do not be devoted to one fruit, eat various of them.
I have a tendency for kidney stones, so water melon is the proper fruit for me in summer. But eating too much will affect my peptic system. Others seem not to be affected.
Others say that grapes are the best fruits for health, Hippocrates had praised them in ancient times. Some support that eating only grapes is an effective diet without increasing weight. I tried it one day, it was heavy for my stomach. And you will gain weight if you eat foods plus a lot of grapes as fruits. They contain much sugar, like figs.
Probably there is no bad fruit, especially if it is fresh. Prunes, figs, apricots are good against constipation, papaya is good for the stomach, banana is good as a nutritious supplement and as additive of potassium (not good for those undergoing haemodialysis, as I have heard). Apple is said to be good against respiratory diseases. Pineapple is said to promote the "burning" of fats and same for grape fruit.
I would like pineapple, but I do not know under what conditions it is not fattening. That is why "nothing in excess".
The value of pomegranate has been proved, but they are heavy for the stomach. Prickly pears are considered very good against cholesterol etc, but they are heavy for stomach and constipating for many people. Attis is a tropical fruit (strong pleasant smell) which is considered very good for health too, but I think it cannot be found in Europe.
