Emulsion system

(sometime ago, i wrote about things....but cant find..so re-write)

Emulsion are very important class for chemical industry. it is used widely in household as well as industrial application, like food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, petroleum, textile etc. fields....

drop size, interfacial tension, power input, process equipment type, viscosity of continuous and dispersed phases, density, phase inversion temp. etc are very important factors for emulsion...

it can be used for selection of process equipment and processing conditions ,surfactant/emulsifier selection for the generation of a desired emulsion product.

can anybody know any work in this area? how industrial people select emulsifier, equipment etc for emulsion formulation? which parameters engineer/chemist determine/analyze for emulsion production?

The emulsion applications are vast, as you noted in the introduction of your message. Unfortunately, according to my taste, your introduction is much longer than your problem description. It can be books written about emulsions and their applications. I don't think there is time and space here to treat them all, assuming that somebody has all that experience.
Please be more specific: what emulsion system you are interested of? And what is the purpose of the application?

you can visit the site of ross company there you can find some charts and document that can help you to choose the most suitable emulsifier.

I recommend you develop a "performance specification" for the unit operation you need. What are the properties and characteristics of the inlet? What properties and characteristics are desired in the outlet? Visit the websites or study the catalogs/brochures of reputable emulsifier companies. If you don't know any, consult Chemical Engineering magazine's Buyers' Guide Issue, or use Google or your favorite search engine on the web. Call them, ask for technical support, ask for sales support. These emulsifier companies may have a performance specification template you can use. Then, send your well thought out and thoroughly reviewed by Operations performance specification to at least three of these reputable emulsifier companies for a quotation.

is it possible to make equipment selection criteria for emulsion preparation? b/s there are different types of equipments available in market.

what are important criterias for emulsion expert system?

equipment (parameters like speed, type etc.)
emulsifiers (properties, HLB,qunatity etc.)
raw materials (properties,HLB, quantity etc.)
process conditions (temperature, pH etc.)
application type
final product -emulsion (particle size,stability,viscosity, interfacial tension etc.)
or other?
