Hi i was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with this problem. I saw it on an exam paper last semester but its been doing my head in ever since as i still have no idea how to do it. Any suggestions (or solutions) would be very much appreciated!
Thanks

assuming that you change concentration cA0 only (flowrate is maintained constant) you will probably need to increase inlet concentration when temperature (and rate of reaction) increases to keep the cA2 on constant level... search the forum where I replied to similar post (CSTR-PFR-CSTR in series) - you will find necessary balance equation there
good luck

Thanks for the quick post. Where does the rate equation come into play then?

you need a balance fof substrate A, which in generaln is:
inflow - consumption (by chemical reaction) = outflow

this is of course not a general formula as I wrote above, but simplified form for steady state...
