Que tal, una pregunta simple espero. Cual es la difierencia entre una columna rectificadora y una columna repasadora (rerun column)?

Although I do not understand Spanish language (besides few words which Art had translated to me in the thread "Recuerdos De Otra Edad"), I will try to answer your question - but in English.

Re-run column does not refer to any specific column design or section, but rather to processing issues (i.e. the purpose of the column in a processing unit/train). The term "Re-run tower" was used, for example, in a refinery Alkylation unit for the purpose of splitting alkylate product into Light and Heavy cuts. Full range alkylate, flowing from the De-iC4 tower bottoms, was occasionally routed to re-run column for fractionation between these two alkylate cuts. The usage of re-run tower was driven by gasoline blending pool requirements, if I remember well.
