Hello
I am a chemical engineer, I live in Toronto Canada. I would like to change my career from pharmaceutical industry to petrochemical process design and simulation. I need to learn the simulation softwares like ASPEN and HYSYS
please advise me the best way to process design and simulation. Is there any courses or training

In Canada, courses are scheduled for 21st October (process modeling), and 24th October, 07th November, and 12th December (advanced process modeling). The courses are dedicated to HYSYS training.

I think one of best way to teach yourself a simulation software is finding tutorial guide books. After that, step by step trying on the tutorial examples that they recommended. I'm sure that you're soon familiar with all features of software. By the way, You also have to repair yourself a good basic theory and keep asking the seniors.

If you are on a budget and need a free course, you can look at ProMax training as well. It is not as popular as Hysys, but will give you a good understanding of Oil and Gas Process simulation. I have been to one in Houston and found it very valuable.
