Dear friends ,
I have a project for condensation of low pressure steam by six air cooled heat exchangers .
Please help me to design the best exchangers network .
thanks in advanced .

Hi
First requirement is to get enough exposure to ACOL which is professional software to design air cooled heat exchangers. If you can link simulated heat exchanger design in ACOL to Hysis, you can also optimize your design as much as possible. I am not sure about level of your experience in air cooled heat exchangers but have a look to API 661 it can be informative and useful.

Cheers

Hello mmaz,

You need lot of study for this project, I suggest for you some books, more over you need to study for old projects for ready reference.
better to read Turton process Design principal, and J seader, Process principal and synthesis. both books very good for beginners.

better to study old relevant PI&D's and projects.

Good look

mmaz,
I'll assume you're condensing excess saturated low pressure steam to low pressure condensate. Further, I assume you are asking how to configure your six air coolers, and not how to design them. You have options to configure any number of them in series and/or parallel. For maximum system effectiveness, I would recommend that all six condensers be configured in parallel. Let me know if I've addressed your question.

Dear friends ,
I have seen some documents for turbin exhaust condensation in GEA Air Cooled Condenser .
Now I ask you is this configuration is the best one ?
In my project , there is some excess steam vented from deareator and some from flash drum .
what do you think about corrosion for deareator vent ?
thanks ,
