Hi,
I would appreciate is someone could orient me to a paper (or has experience) about the heat transfer achieved by a Venturi Tube. My web search has not yielded satisfactory results.
I would like to estimate the temperature at which a hot stream of air will leave a Venturi where cold water is sprayed at the throat.
Of course I can calculate the so called "adiabatic temperature", but I would like to make sure that I will not be a few degrees above, because the NTU (number of heat tranfer units) would be too low
I do not care about particle collection of mass transfer.
In the foreseen application, the air would be 250°C, would contain about 6% water (mole%), at atmospheric pressure. I assume I will reach this adiabatic temperature, but for the application an error or more than a few degree °C would be not acceptable.

I found a thesis about this topic, "Huang(2002), Heat transfer enhanced of Venturi tube type moisture sprayed condenser testing and analysis". But this thesis was writen in Chinese, so I only list the cited references here. If you want this thesis, I can mail it to you.
