In file Aspen Plus I have block Hetran (to simulate an heat exchanger) with link to Aspen B-JAC.
To the end of simulation of Aspen Plus, there is this message of error:
ERRORS IN BLOCK CALCULATIONS
CALCULATED DUTY > MAXIMUM - DUTY SET TO MAXIMUM
What does it mean?
How can I remove this error?
Thank you.

It could mean that you have set the exchanger duty far above the normal duties which are to be expected in Hetran, or maybe you didn't use the correct unit set.
Check these items or give us little more information about the exchanger itself, and which data you used as input values.

this usually means that the duty that you specify is greater than the maximum possible duty.
The maximum duty is defined by the inlet conditions of the fluids and their properties. You can not coold down the hot fluid at a lower temperature than the cold fluid.
BTW HETRAN is no more supported by aspentech. Have a look at the following link to see what is the latest offering.
