Hello all,
This query is regarding the design of waste heat boiler.
I am in the process of calculation of sizes of riser and downcomer for the fire tube boiler (typical in Steam methane reforming in which proces gas at reformer outlet and at high temperature is utilised to generate high pressure steam) and also, number of riser down comer for given heat duty of WHB.
Before that I need to understand the fundamental behind the calculations involved for flux etc. Request to provide general guidelines and reference to the journal / articles to understand the basics and ultimately calculate the number and sizes of riser and downcome
