Hi

I have a question on pump dyanmic analysis

Actually my client plant capacity was 230MBD and like to increase the flow from230to 280MBD,

they have a pump at operating capacity 1371m3/hr,

Now I have to check whther the incresed flow can be suitable for the existing pump

how can i do the dynamic analysis in hysys

any comments on the above appreciated

regards

sean

Careful using the word dynamic "around" HYSYS - in HYSYS terms, as far as I'm concerned, that means time-varying.

What you want to do is look at the pump characteristic curve, which shows the flowrate that the pump will operate at when it is subjected to different differential pressures. Read off the flowrate that you are going to operate at, and look at the corresponding differential pressure. If you can create that sort of differential pressure across the pump, then you're OK. If it can only supply that sort of flowrate at a LOWER differential pressure, then you have to do some tinkering with your process setpoints, or consider changing your pump.

Hope this helps,
- Steve.
