I have the following doubts on centrifugal compressor
1. We have a centrifugal compressor which is used for heavy molecular weight process gas compression. This is having a dry gas seal system where the seal gas used is a low mol wt Hydrocarbon gas, during compressor recycle operation, due to the seal gas mixing with process gas the effective molecular weight of the gas will decrease (lean out of process gas) and compressor will not be able to achieve the required discharge pressure. How to asses whether compressor lean out is possible for the system??
2. Why are we providing low low sution pressure trips for compressor circuit??
thanks
