Dear all

I was modelling a steam reformer and associated series of five exchangers which are getting heat from Flue gases (shell side) from the reformer.

I have flow controller on fuel and air flow so this flow is fixed. I have adjusted the conductance "K" (Like CV for control valve) to get the desired pressure drop profile and flow. Tube side flowrates in all these exchangers will remain same.

Now when i try to change "K" the temperature and pressure profile changes. As expected pressure profile will change but since i am not changing duty of exchanger the temperature profile should not change.

Why temperature profile is changing or i there is some mistake from my side?

Thanks for your replies in advance

mrj
