We are using h3po4 in polymer. This h3p04 works as a thermal stabilizer at high temp. This h3po4 is in the pure form and doesn't have any other component in it.Recently what happen that we have changed our h3po4 vendor and start to purchase h3po4 from some other vendor. The problem started here. The vendot doesn't tell us that this H3po4 contians 2% of acetic acid in it.When we inject this h3po4 then the color of polymer drastically changed.Upto 4- 5 days we couldn't find out the problem.then sombody suggested to do the anylysis all the additives we are adding in polymer. Then we came to know this problem.after adding h3p04 (which doen't have any acetic acid) color became normal in 3-4 hrs.

So i want to know what is the effect of Acetic acid on polymer.???(Our process temperature is 2900c.)
and what is the reaction of this acetic acid with polymer cauing color to detoriate???

if anybody have any idea then please give us the comment
