This is regarding Flarenet:

I am simulating a flare system where I have the flare tip pressure drop curve whiih enables me to have a variable pressure drop across the tip. However, the flare stack base has a water seal drum which will give a constant pressure drop irrespective of flow rate. How does one simulate the water seal's constant pressure drop, while keeping the variable pressure drop in the flare tip?

Thanks for your help

Regards

This may be too late... You may consider Flow Bleed component in FLARENET...

How are flare tip pressure drop curves generated? Any body out there knows?

Normally flare tip vendor will advise you the pressure drop for their proprietary tip.

For ordinary pipe flare tip, you can use flaresim to estimate pressure drop or you may "Quick Estimate Flare Tip Pressure Drop"
