We have seen on this platform as to how hysys results can be brought into a spreadsheet form. My query is whether a spreadsheet can be linked to hysys such that it may make hysys accept some limited inputs. It is appreciated that with such functionality it may not be possible to link the entire plant simulation parameters to the spreadsheet, but may be several small unit operations such as flashing and J/T effect could be easily simulated. Can this be achieved and how? Thanks in advance.

You can use the SetValue method to "push" data to the simulation. The functionality is actually very powerful. See my attached quick & dirty example. I had set up a JT valve in Hysys, upstream conditions (stream "1") and composition defined, downstream (stream "2") pressure defined. Please examine the code, it is fairly straightforward.
