Hello,

Could you please share your return of experience concerning the pros and cons of PROMAX?

I am approaching PROMAX during these days and i have attended to a presentation.
It seems very well done specially beacuse BR targte is to enter the market on evry kind on simulation.
At first PROMAX was called TSweet (Dos version) and it was inteded to be used only for gas sweetening...
I work with hysys since 1999 (both static and dynamic) and i can say that i know it well.
A few weeks ago i needed to simulate Amine treatment within a "bottom of the barrell" process therefore hypocomponents were included.
Well, Hysys , using amine package, is not able to treat amine in presence of hypos while PROMAX it does.
This is my very first issue faced now. Should i encounter other differences i will tell U.
Anyway Hysys is the most worldwide used simulation software, specially for Gas. (for petroleum i still have some concerns...)
PROMAX development is pushed by its company and is going forward.
Ciao da Roma

Claudio
