I have a control valve which i need to include in overall hydraulic simulation of a flow process.

The datasheet has Cv and % opening for 3 different flow values (min.max.normal).

Also one data set is available for rating capacity, which includes Cv,Xt(pressure drop ratio factor) and Fi (pressure recovery factor).

Now , waht AspenPlus require is 4 sets of complete data for Cv, %Opening ,Xt and Fi.

My questions are,

1) is the dataset at rated capacity means at 100% opening??in other words, is the valve rated at 100% opening?

2) How do I get values of Xt and Fi at min-max and normal flowrates?or do they remain constant??

the valve is globe type with equal percentage characteristic.

thanks in advance

1)The CV calculated for min normal max flow is for 100 % opening. But main thing is Cv selected which tells you the capacity obtained from valve
2)Xt and FL depends on vendor selected and valve type .You can get from vendor ...
3)In general for globe valve with equal percentage you can take Xt as 0.6
