I was looking to simulate a liquid-liquid extraction column in Petro sim.
The two streams entering are:-
1).hydrocarbons+methanol(T=38C P=16kg/cm2_g Flow=35 m3/hr)
2).water(T=33C P=17kg/cm2_g Flow=2.7 m3/hr)
column overhead pressure is 10 kg/cm2_g and temp=44C
With these specs the column has failed to converge. (Errors:- Zero Matrix error. No soln possible with the current specs).
It would be of great help if someone could help me converge the column.

Do you mean Aspen HYSYS.
