Dear Forum Members,
hello,

I have a problem with fans; "combining different static pressure fans in common duct"
I am using fans to maintain bottom temp of a hot bath.
I have two fan runing togather of same model, capacity in a common duct.
The static pressure of these 2 fans is 504 & 494 mm Aq .These fans have been running for last 10 years.
Now my air requirement has gone up. I have a spare fan with static pressure of 388 mm Aq. .

I want to know if I club this spare fan with the two running fans in same duct on which the orginal two fans are running;
will spare fan air get supressed because of less static pressure.

If yes what is the soloution for this if i want to utillise this spare fan to increase the air flow.

Yes

A higher flow through the system will require a discharge pressure over 500. All fan will run back on their curves to generate the higher pressure if they are capable of such a pressure. I would try to speed up the spare fan.
