I would like to find out about the frustrations you face during shutdowns and turnarounds particularly on the maintenance side of things e.g. bottlenecks within cleaning bays etc. Am writing a paper for a presentation in January and thought it best to straight to the people who matter to find out about the problems you face. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas to all. Simone

Hi Tube,

Your question is too wide and need to address in parts, "eg" (1) Communication, ie' if an organisation is very big then you may frustration for communication for implementing your ideas due to its beaurocatic procedures. (2) Resources, if an organisation is very small and facing in financial problems then you will face frustration also because you can't implement your idea for bottoleneck or process change. (3) Supply, 'ie' we face one problem to change FSD (feed Surge Drum) but manufacturer not able to supply the vessel on time, our shut down come and gone, we started our plant with out changing the FSD.(4) Skilled manpower, most job is not getting well done due to un skilled manpwoer.(5) Support and Trest, inter-department support and mutual intrest also some time creating frustration.
Hope you will find it help full.
Good luck
Toor

Dear,
What do you mean by word frustrations. Turnaround is a planned shutdown. Do you mean the hassles in maintainance incase of unplanned plant shutdown.
