Dear All,

Any one of you have any ideal how I can transfer Liquid Propylene from ISO Tanker to Storage Tank. We do not have any transfer pump.

I guess Pressure Transfer is the only way.
How much can I fill into the ISO Tank with capacity 22500 liters, MAWP: 34 barg? Can anyone help? Can I estimated at around 7.5 ton of Liquid Propylene?

I have an Aluminium Ambient Vaporizer which has flow rate of 2000m3/hr and MAWP is 27 barg.
but the flow rate is calculated base on Liquid Nitrogen.
I do not know the flowrate in terms of Liquid Propylene. Can anyone help?

I intend to use the Vaporizer to purging the system (Manifold, Vaporizer etc.) before I start to transfer the liquid in to the Storage Tank.

Attached is my initial P&ID. Please commend and advise. :)

The purpose of a vaporizer - as presented in your sketch - is confusing and without any purpose. Vaporized Propylene should be routed to the ISO tank so as to push liquid from a container into the storage tank. A few pressure relief valves are missing as well. Keep in mind what would be the regular procedure for ISO unloading and where are the spots at which you will get entrapped liquid C3= that will eventually turn into vapor and lift the PSV's. Some HCV's for venting trapped C3= back to the process or to the flare should be provided as well.

Hi,
Looking at the preliminary P&ID,I think the safe operation is to install a pump. Alternatively, you can pressurized the iso-tank, but this operation is hazardous and need a detail hazards analysis and risk assessment. The pressure requires at the iso-tank will depends on the pressure drop due to friction between the iso-tank and the storage at the specified flowrate.

I strongly suggest that you install a pump.
