Goodmorning sirs,
consider a pressure regulator that regulate the inlet pressure of gas from, in example, 60 barg to 30 barg.
In the attached scheme i have the regulator and the monitor mounted in serie, but i don't understand really how does it work (specially the sense of all the arrows)
I know that the regulator regulate the outlet pressure to the specified value (30 barg) but i don't understand the flows and other items like pilot, feeder etc involved in the attached scheme.
Can anybody help me to understand the principle of working of this system?
thanks
Dear Good Evening,
It is very simple if you may kindly consider that
the two main regulating valves are equipped with diaphragms or some other material's membrane in upper portion as indicated in
blue or
yellow colors
If you see there are two small lines supplying pressure sensations from 'upstream' and 'downstream controlled area' into upper and lower parts of the two large valve(s) diaphragms making these move upward/downward along with the shaft of valve to perform control or regulating function(s)
The arrows indicate usual direction of flow;where the flow can be in either direction this is shown with two opposite direction arrows
Hope this helps you in understanding the system.
Any further query? I'll be glad to help.
