Hi, friends:
To find the factor Wattson characterizationv(Kw) of petroleum fractions, the points of the ASTM D 86 distillation and specific gravity are necessary. These data are readily available in the laboratory. My consulting the forum is like finding the Kw for fuel oil (bottom product of primary distillation) as being a heavy product is not makes the ASTM D86. I will appreciate your comments.
Thank you

UOP 375 gives a method to calculate UOP K values from Kin Vis and Density. Kin Vis at 100, 122 and 210 (any one) can be used.

Dear Brenan,
You can check the textbook: Riazi, Characterization and Properties of Petroleum Fractions, p.70-71. The nomograph gives the relation between kynematic viscosity and Kw, and there are the equations for to do a spreadsheet.
Regards,
Napo.
