Heat Load Calculation

Kindly guide me to calculate the heat load for raising the temperature of bitumen from 110 to 140 degree celcius in a tank of 15.6 m daimeter and 25 m height.

Hi ,
This paper will give you some information about heat transfer and thermal losses to consider for storage tanks .
You need to gather physical information about the product , the heating medium to be able to perform calculation .
Basically you need to consider to heat the fluid and also compensate the heat losses , the first part is straight forward .

Multiply specific heat (cal/gm/deg C) by mass in grams and rise in temperature in deg C and convert to your desired units
