good evening !!

I'm a new member, actually I'm a student, and I'm working on a project about CO2 capture with MEA, I have to design an absorption/ distillation column, I did a lot of researches where they talk about NUT and HUT but i didn't really get it.

can any one please tell me how to proceed ? i would be really thankfull if anyone has an example of calculation

You say you have a project to capture CO2 using an MEA solution and you want to know how to proceed.

I have answered this question countless times on this Forum and the various responses can be found all throughout our Forums by using our SEARCH machine.  Basically, you should get a copy of "Gas Purification" by Kohl and Neilsen and study the section on CO2 removal using amine solutions.

I have no idea what you are talking about using the terms NUT and HUT.  Amine absorbers and strippers are designed using empirical, experienced information and factors.

but my concern is i have to simulate the CO2 capture, but i don't know how to simulate a chemical absorption with Aspen !!

can you help me please
