hello,

I would like to apply for a PhD position, our lab doesn't have a process simulation license, I wonder if I can find some information in the forum ? I will be delighted if you share some insight about the cost of such software especially aspen plus, aspen hysys and promax.

thank you in advance.

You should contact software suppliers. There is usually an academic version (or it can be tailored to meet your demands) which comes at a significantly lower cost than the commercial version. No reason to pay more for something you don't need at the moment.

Check Also ChemCAD, Pro/II, and VMG-Sim.

I agree with Zauberberg, if possible check for a low cost option,

also you may consider if really a process simulator is required...

I have a much less expensive process library (look for products of Prode, Aspen, Prosim etc.)

that could be a good alternative, if you wish a direct interface with Matlab, Excel, Mathcad etc.
