Dears

For refining utilities, many companies like aspent , kbc providing a steam model or called energy model where it calculates the cost associated with current steam operating condition and it can optimize the operating scenarios by switching some turbines or morots .
I would like to bulid up the model through excel sheet but it seems it is difficult some how and i need your help to share any excel sheet configured for same purpose.

Our system consist of two gas turbines with wasteheat boilers, two steam turbines , letdown station for four steam grades , two steam fired boilers.

Your usual support is highly appreciated

Hi Eyyad.

I don't know the processing scheme of your refinery but I'm quite confident that other sources of steam are available there.

One of the starting step of your work should be preparing lists of all producers and consumers of steam and power in the refinery. Of course with their relevant productions and consumptions.

A subsequent step would be the identification of some real operating scenarios and their relevant balances.

As usual, the more details you'll provide of your working steps, the more help you could obtain.

Good luck
